London flat goes on the market for staggering £860 a month and it’s absolutely tiny

A very cosy flat in a desirable area of London has gone on the market for £860 a month — and it’s barely big enough to stretch your arms in.

The studio apartment in Swiss Cottage is listed on Zoopla by estate agent Berns & Co for a sum of £199 per week, and features a single bed, kitchen, toilet and shower.

But these amenities are all in incredibly close proximity to each other, with the property consisting simply of a narrow room and an even smaller bathroom attached.

Anyone hoping to invite guests will have to make do with only a small stool, as the space is too small for any additional furnishings.

Storage space consists of a small cupboard above the sink and a wardrobe situated at the foot of the bed.

For the price, however, a potential tenant will get to be situated “within seconds” of South Hampstead Overground station, according to the listing. Swiss Cottage Underground station is also nearby.

Speaking to The Sun, an estate agent at Berns & Co, West Hampstead, said: “It’s a standard studio flat, there’s nothing more to say.”

The £862 per month value does make the flat a relative bargain for the area, with average renters paying £1,560 per week in Swiss Cottage according to most recent data from Foxtons.

Earlier this month, a studio loft flat went on the market in central London for £950 a month with barely enough room for the future tenant to sit up in the bed.

Despite being small, the sleek white property features multiple skylight windows which allow natural light to shine through.

One side features a small kitchenette area that comes complete with a microwave, fridge, oven and a coffee machine, while round the corner there is a comfy bedroom blocked off from the rest of the property by a private wall.
